Modyl and Gemini agent · Google
Gemini can work for a group. Modyl asks who decides when the group splits.
The Gemini agent can act as a personal assistant or a coworker agent for a group. When that group wants different things, the person who owns the call answers in Modyl, and the reason stays on record.
In Google’s words
“Gemini can function as your personal assistant or as a team member, where it works on behalf of a group of people”
Quoted from cloud.google.com“every action Gemini takes is written to an audit trail and attributed to the agent rather than to a person.”
Quoted from cloud.google.com“Gemini applies it to every agent in your company instead of checking one agent at a time.”

Announced at Gemini at Work 2026 for Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace. Checked Oct 22, 2026.
What it leaves open
Google covers identity, permissions and a policy firewall. The announcement does not say what a coworker agent does when the people it serves want different things. A trail attributed to the agent records what it did, not who decided and why.
Records the person who decided and why, not only the agent that acted.
Use it with Modyl
- Later
Gemini coworker agents raising a decision in a Modyl room and reading the answer back.
Where each fits
Choose Modyl when
- You need the person who decided on record, not only the agent that acted.
- Goals conflict across people or teams.
- Your agents come from more than one vendor.
Gemini agent alone is enough for
A Google Workspace organization that wants one governed agent inside its documents and inbox.
Keep your agents. Give the team one place to decide.
Modyl is in invite-only early access.
